The closure of Sam's Club in Seabrook last month might open the door for a store like BJ's Wholesale Club to move in.

In an article published at unionleader.com; there's speculation that the property owners from Massachusetts are developing the property for a big retail store and a restaurant.

The company hasn’t identified the tenant, but there’s been growing speculation that it could become a new home for a BJ’s Wholesale Club.

“The developer has not named BJ’s as the prospective tenant, but has acknowledged that they would be a potential tenant,” Town Manager William Manzi said.

Sixty three Sam's Club's closed throughout the country last month.

BJ's Wholesale Clubs operates 5 stores in NH including Portsmouth.
