Did You Know That The Movie “Casper” Was Shot In This Town In Maine?
Am I the only one who didn't know "Casper" was shot in this Maine town?
My all-time favorite Halloween movie is "Casper The Friendly Ghost." In case you've been hiding under a rock, the age-old classic is about a lonely but friendly ghost named Casper, who desperately wants a friend. The movie stars Christina Ricci and Bill Pullman.
Watch the trailer to refresh your memory:
The story takes place at Whipstaff Manner, a mansion in Friendship, Maine, according to Casper Fandom. There IS a town in Maine called Friendship; however, "Casper" wasn't filmed there. The real location for the movie set is in Camden, Maine, according to Suburban Pilgrims on YouTube. Parts of "Casper" were also reportedly filmed in Rockport.
