"Is it scented? Can I eat it? What donuts or coffee or ice cream are the colors inspired by?" Those are some of the questions people have been asking, since Dunkin' announced its new line of limited edition nail polish. Unfortunately, the answer to the first two queries. Edible nail polish would have women (and some men) running to the nearest beauty supply store or salon. It would give new meaning to the famous KFC slogan "finger-licking good."

There are well over 3.4 million comments to Dunkin's Facebook post and two million reactions.

Dunkin' says the eight polishes are inspired by our favorite Signature Lattes and Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream flavored coffees. According to its websiteAccording to its website, Dunkin' partnered with Lauren B. Beauty, a vegan-friendly company, to create the colors for Spring. The colors include Cocoa Mocha, Caramel Craze and Blueberry Crisp (inspired by Dunkin’s new Signature Lattes), along with Butter Pecan, Pistachio Almond Fudge and Banana Split (seasonal Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream coffees). It's two bad these products are not available in its stores. As of now, you can only get them at select salons across the country. I agree with the person who commented that this is a missed opportunity to market something that women want.
