Easy and Awesome Slow Cook BBQ Drumsticks
Yes, I do cook (every year or so) and you can bet I'll blog about it every time! These slow cook drumsticks were in ... credible and very easy to make.
Put 10 chicken drumsticks in your crock pot and cover them with this blend of dry spices first.
2 Tablespoons of Chili Powder
1/2 Tablespoon of Ground Cumin
1 Tablespoon of Garlic Powder
1 Tablespoon of Onion Powder
1 Tablespoon of Paprika
A few shakes of salt and pepper too!
Mix the above together in a bowl and coat the sticks like I did in the above photo.
In another bowl, make this easy 3 ingredient wet mixture.
2 cups BBQ Sauce (I used Sweet Baby Ray's)
1/4 Honey
2 Tablespoons of Apple Cider vinegar
Stir it up! Dump it in!
Put the cover on that thing and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
It's amazing how much liquid is created through the cooking process, this picture above is what it looked like after 5 hours.
And this is what they looked like less than five minutes after I tore into half of them. How'd I do?
This recipe was found at paleoleap.com and the only thing I changed was Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce instead of homeade BBQ sauce.
It's my new favorite recipe!! It so good, I might cook it again in less than a year!
