Pizza lovers, and fellow over eaters take notice. The 3rd Annual Kiwanis Pizza Bowl, an annual event to determine the Exeter area's best pizza, will take place Saturday, January 25 at the Cooperative Middle School in Stratham from noon to 2:00 p.m. You can count me in! As a homeowner and tax payer in the Exeter Area, it is part of my civil duty to help crown a Pizza Bowl champ. Competing in this year's Pizza Bowl include: New England House of Pizza, Shooter's Pub, and Pizza Academy all from Exeter. From Stratham will be Mama Lena's Pizzeria, and Shaw's Supermarket. Jeremy's Pizzeria & Deli from Newmarket, Zacky's Pizzeria from Epping, and Fremont Pizzeria from Kingston will also be there.

For only $10 per adult, and $5 for children 6-12 years old, you can sample nearly 150 pizzas from participating restaurants. Plus, the opportunity to eat all the pizza you want and decide who makes the best pizza in the area is a power trip that people can only dream of!

If you're not interested in pizza come for the children. That's right! This year's Kiwanis Pizza Bowl is a fundraiser for local children's charities and programs. A great cause, and a great time if you ask me. There's also a good chance I'll get carried out on a stretcher from eating too much. I'm so excited!

On a side note, if Shaw's Supermarket can pull this off and win the Pizza Bowl that would have to be the greatest upset in history right? We're talking Mine That Bird, USA Hockey over Russia, Buster Douglas beating Tyson, type of an upset.
