Fire in the State Street Saloon Building

The fire has grown to six alarms in Portsmouth.

Firefighters are at the scene of a major fire in downtown Portsmouth. The fire was reported just before 1 this morning in the State Street Saloon building and has gone to six alarms.

The building has partially collapsed.

Officials are still trying to account for the residents above the restaurant.

One firefighter has reportedly suffered a minor injury battling the fire.
