So, this happened today at work…

Not the fire. It turned out to be a false alarm. However, on my way out of the building, I was scrambling to find my iPhone. Yes, I know that's an idiot move. I would be lost without it, as it contains my entire life. If there had been an actual fire, I would have been risking my life for a damn phone.

It did make me wonder, as I was scurrying down the stairs… Would most people have done the same thing? I asked a few of my coworkers outside, and they all said they would grab their phone. One woman said she had left her purse behind, but she definitely had her phone.

For people who keep their phone in their pocket or clipped to their belt, this would not be a problem. My phone is usually nearby, but not in my pocket.

What material possessions would you take with you, if you had to quickly evacuate? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook.
