Free Saturday Parking in Dover May be Nixed

According to a story from Foster's, the City of Dover may end free parking on Saturdays.

Dover's parking commission recommended the potential change because of the downtown apartments and over 300 more expected to come in before the end of the year.

Although it's not a done deal yet, if it takes affect, parking enforcement will extend until 8pm Monday thru Friday and add Saturdays as well.

The council is having a public hearing tomorrow at 7pm in the Council Chambers at Dover City Hall.
