The New Hampshire Veteran Sportsman Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help New Hampshire veterans obtain hunting and fishing licenses if they are unable to afford them.

Hunting and fishing can be very therapeutic for veterans suffering from PTSD, but without the means to obtain a license, they cannot enjoy these activities. A Freshwater fishing license is 45 dollars and a hunting license is 32. Combo costs 56 bucks.

The New Hampshire Veteran Sportsman Foundation aims to help these New Hampshire veterans purchase licenses and you can help too.

James Spillane created a GoFundMe page to make it easy for folks to donate (gofundme.com/nhveteransportsmen). The page is currently at 960 dollars.

According to the Union Leader, if you are a veteran interested in utilizing the services of The New Hampshire Veteran Sportsman Foundation you can contact them via e-mail at nhveteransportsman@yahoo.com, they also have a Facebook page or you can write them at NH Veteran Sportsman Foundation, 16 Swamp Road, Deerfield, N.H., 03037.
