Here Are New Hampshire’s 3 Best Barbecue Joints
I don't know about you, but ever since I heard about National Barbecue Day, I've had a hankerin' for some sort of smoked deliciousness with a side of corn bread and coleslaw. You might think that since "this ain't Texas..." (cue Beyoncé), it would be hard to find delicious BBQ in New Hampshire. But you'd be wrong.
When nothing else but sweet barbecue will do, check out these three amazing choices right here in the 603.
Goody Cole's Smokehouse in Brentwood, New Hampshire
Goody Cole's Smokehouse in Brentwood, New Hampshire, is the top one on my list. I love the atmosphere, because while it' ssmall, the place has a cool vibe when you walk in, with country music playing and license plates all over the walls. They have the typical BBQ menu with all the sauces your heart desires. Don't worry about parking either, as they are right off of Route 125, with plenty of room for all.
Smokeshow Barbeque in Concord, New Hampshire
If you're looking for authentic Texas Barbeque, Smokeshow Barbeque in Concord is another solid choice. One of their specialties is catering events. They bring everything, down to the napkins and plates. Whatever you need, they have it. By the way, you'll need a lot of napkins, because those ribs may get all over your face (and you'll love it).
Willie Jewell's Old School Bar-B-Q in Nashua, New Hampshire
Willie Jewell's Old School BBQ is a restaurant chain that started in the South, and I have to admit, that's a big advantage in this instance.
You can get things on their menu that the other places don't have, like Southern Fried Okra and Country Corn Fritters. I like this place because Willie Jewell Daniels was a real person from Florida who proved herself to be an exceptional cook and even better person, from what you can read on their website. This Nashua, New Hampshire, location opened in 2016, and is the first one north of the Mason-Dixon line.
