How Many Deer Are Here? In Dover NH

Look quick and you'll see four white tailed deer in this field on Middle Road in The Garrison City. Not so fast! Look from another angle!

I waited for about 20 seconds and these critters stayed put so I decided to pull down the road another 30 yards or so and was surprised at what I saw.

There are five!

Does that mean that there are really eight deer in the picture? Or if there are five? Does that mean there are ten?

I can confirm that after driving by these ruminant mammals from multiple angles, there were FIVE.

I'm glad to see them in the light of day, usually I see them, right in front of my car, with a very startled expression at 4:50AM. The next time this happens I'll have to really pay attention and count how many of them are there.

Just one could equal a small herd!
