The weather this winter has been kind of wacky this year.

According to Tom Buchtman in the Union Leader, it has posed some challenges getting the Ice Castles attraction in Woodstock up and running.

BUT it appears mother nature might be on our side at least for the next few months (depending on what side you are on), and the Ice Castles might actually stand a chance.

They were supposed to open back in December but now their opening date is Thursday, January 14, according to the Ice Castles website. And tickets go on sale on Monday, January 11.

The site indicates that this year the castle's will have some new features as well as fan favorites including two new thrones and towers that stand at 35 ft. tall (WHOA) Also the slide is back but this year, and it features four lanes instead of two to allow room for social distancing.

Also, the “Mystic Light Trail” from last year is making a comeback and there will be all new music.

They have horse-pulled carriage rides, a gift shop, and a concession stand!  This is the perfect Winter activity for the whole fam!  Especially if you have kiddos that are getting restless from spending the last 10 months inside.

Unlike other companies who struggled to get a reservation system up and running during the pandemic, Ice Castles has always operated through making reservations. Make yours today here!
