Are you ready to be scared?  In my search to find some interesting places to hike in New Hampshire, I stumbled upon a blog that lists a ton of cool hiking spots that are rumored to be haunted!  Boo!

Some are too challenging for me, but I am willing to get out there and hike to lose some weight and some of these places are on my bucket list.

There is no reason to wait till Halloween for a haunted hike, in fact, now is the best time of year to get out and explore the great outdoors.

I think first on my list is going to be Madame Sherri’s Castle Ruins.

Located in a forest in West Chesterfield, New Hampshire this hike involves very little actual hiking, according to nothingbutnewengland.com. It’s just a short walk from the parking lot but its creep factor is outstanding.

This hike features the ruins of an old grand home built in the 1900s and was owned by a costume designer, the website states.  The whole place burned down in 1962 leaving some pretty impressive ruins.

Nothingbutnewengland.com reported that some hikers have had some paranormal experiences there, including some very weird, spine-chilling laughter.

Maybe I won’t try this one alone.
