Recently, my friend Kira Lew gave me a Gisele Bundchen's book, "Lessons" to read.  Kira said that she got more out of the book than she originally thought she would, so, I gave it a shot.  I read the first chapter of the book and skimmed the rest, but that shouldn't discourage you from reading the book.  There are several reasons I decided to pass on reading every word:

  • It's in Gisele's voice, so it's sometimes choppy and the sentence structure isn't the greatest, but that's kind of like reading one of my articles, so I was okay with that!
  • The substance of the book were things that Gisele has learned throughout her life and those are things that I have experienced as well.
  • I also couldn't get Gisele's accent out of my head when I read it.
  • I believe, also, that Gisele wrote the book for her beautiful babies, (of course they're beautiful) Benny and Viv and there's nothing wrong with that.

Because of those reasons, I gave the book back to Kira.

Anyway, Gisele and her beloved husband Tom Brady, bought a new pad for the family in Miami on the exclusive Indian Creek Island off the coast of Miami.  It's a 300 acres island with only 41 houses.  Yeah....  Wikipedia says that in 2010, there was a total of 86 people on the island.  Wow.

Before the Brady's bought this house, they were staying in Derek Jeter's waterfront Tampa mansion.  Jeter has that home for sale right now for $29 Million.  This one ain't too shabby either.

Oh, by the way, the book I chose instead of Gisele's is "We Are Never Ever Meeting in Real Life" by Samantha Irby.  It's stinking hilarious!

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
