Is This Really the Best Summer Vacation Destination in Maine?

There are SO many spots in Maine that I think could qualify as one of the best destinations to vacation within this state.

While it's wild to me that whoever wrote this list on TripAdvisor.com could even pick just one as the top spot to vacation in Maine amongst so many beautiful spots, I do happen to personally agree with their choice.

Here is the best summer vacation destination in Maine:

Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor

I've been here twice, and even if you go 200 times, you will still never see all that this place has to offer. Being one of the most famous parks in Maine, it would only make sense you can not only hike within this park, but you can paddle board, swim, eat, and so much more.

So yes, I will agree with this as the top pick for the best vacation spot in Maine.

Also, Bar Harbor as a town, outside of the park, is also a beautiful little place to escape to. You'll find little bars lining the streets that have a ton of history to them and cute little shops that will make you buy little plastic birds or trinkets that you wouldn't normally spend money on if you didn't have the serotonin of vacation vibes on your side.

Finback Alehouse, Bar Harbor

Again, I've been to Bar Harbor a few times for fun and adventures, and 10/10 would recommend planning a little getaway. One of my favorite little restaurants that turns into a bar with live music at night time is called Finback Ale House. A must.

Cool Bonus Find

If you do go, located over by another favorite lunch spot of mine called State Lunch, keep your eyes peeled for this cool staircase. It's more towards a parking lot in the back of the strip.. and that's the only clue I'm giving you to start your adventure.
