America’s Top Fast-Food Chains All Have Multiple Locations in Maine

Even though Maine is filled with amazing local restaurants, there are times that you want to eat at a chain eatery.

Let's face it, there are some benefits to the chains.  The menu is going to be familiar, the prices will be similar no matter where you are, and you know that the quality is going to be consistent.  This is true whether you are talking about a casual sit-down restaurant, a burger place, Mexican place, or pizzeria.

Fortunately, here in Maine, we have a lot of fast food options.  With the exception of a few very regional places, we have at least one of nearly every fast-food establishment.

What are the best fast-food restaurants in the United States?

Recently, YouGov released their annual report on our fast food eating habits.  In addition to figures on how often we eat at fast-food places and what makes us choose one place over another, the report also determined where we like to go for foods in each category.

  • #3: Firehouse Subs (9.9%)
  • Sandwich fans lean toward familiar, build-your-own options
• Tacos & Burritos
  
  • #1: Taco Bell (30.3%)
  • #2: Chipotle (20.6%)
  • #3: Moe’s (5.6%)
  • Taco Bell dominates this lane like it owns the road
• Chicken
  
  • #1: Chick-fil-A (25.3%)
  • #2: KFC (17.9%)
  • #3: Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen (16.2%)
  • Chicken is a tight race, but Chick-fil-A still rules the roost
• Pizza
  
  • #1: Pizza Hut (19.1%)
  • #2: Domino’s (17.1%)
  • #3: Papa John’s (11.4%)
