Waterville Man Dies in Weekend Drowning Incident in New Hampshire

While any unexpected death is a true tragedy, we can think of nothing worse than losing a signficant other while they are on vacation.

Sadly, that is exactly what happened over the weekend.

According to an article on the WABI website, a Waterville man died in an apparent drowning at a New Hampshire lake early Saturday morning.

New Hampshire State Police said they received a call just before 3 AM Saturday reporting that a man had gone missing in Ossipee Lake.

Divers searched the lake and eventually located and recovered the man’s body.

Police identified the victim as 45-year-old Shawn Meader of Waterville.

Authorities said Meader’s death is not considered suspicious. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the drowning remains ongoing.
