Most Millenials and older Gen-Zers grew up watching SpongeBob SquarePants on Nickelodeon.
Yes, the yellow, square, porous guy, along with his friends Patrick, Squidward, Sandy, and Mr. Krabs were all a major part of most kid’s childhoods. Starting in 1999, kids (and many college kids, too) were inspired by the tales of Bikini Bottom.
Well, if you are looking for a taste of nostalgia with an adult angle, you’re going to want to get to Portsmouth, New Hampshire this May.
According to a Facebook event page, there is going to be a SpongeBob themed rave in Portsmouth on May 22nd. The event will take place at The Press Room and will feature DJ Soup throwing down SpongeBob themed tracks. There is also going to be a costume contests and themed cocktails.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the event.
