The storm that put Maine in the dark has gained national attention and is officially in the record books as a historic event. This has been tough for so many families, children, residents, and homeless. We will most likely be dealing with the after math of the Grinch Storm for a long time.

Restoration is still an ongoing effort made by CMP, line workers, and all other crews that have come to the state's aid. They have already restored 287,000 customers since the start of their effort, according to CMP.

Because of this, people and companies are trying to do their best to help, and US Cellular is one of them.

According to their Facebook page, US Cellular is giving their customers a minutes to breath and save some money because of the storm. They are offering something to those affected.

As they posted, those impacted can still use their phones without incurring charges for voice, text, data overages, or late fees until December 26.

Things like this help so much because we are using a lot of money for propane, generators, food, etc. Most of us had to throw out everything in our refrigerators, and for some it's even worse, losing everything because of the flooding.
