Is the post office going to raise prices during the busy season?

Nope! The Postal Service announced that they won't have a peak (or demand) surcharge this holiday season. So, that means you can figure out the pricing ahead a whole lot easier. Not even an increase for Saturday delivery!

Here's when you need to get stuff in the mail to get it there by December 25

  • USPS Ground Advantage — Dec. 16
  • First-Class Mail (including greeting cards) — Dec. 16
  • Priority Mail — Dec. 18
  • Priority Mail Express — Dec. 20

If you have something going international, it all depends on where you are sending it. You have to do a little research on that one, but they ship to over 180 countries, so they can definitely get it there.

So now you know that when you need to get your goodies in the mail, all you have to do is get shopping! Whether online or in person, make sure you give yourself plenty of leeway with it all so you can get to the post office! Because the one thing that could trip you up is your lack of tape! Make this the year YOU totally master the holidays!
