Here’s a List of 10 New Maine Restaurants That Opened in June 2026

2026 has been a real boon for new food places, with well over 40 spots debuting in Maine just through May.

It looks like June was another big month to continue the positive trend, with at least 10 restaurants opening their doors in the Pine Tree State.

The places span from Northeast Harbor on Mount Desert Island to Kittery on the New Hampshire border, with new eateries landing in Kennebunk, Portland, Belfast, Ellsworth, Brunswick, South Portland, Rockland, and Veazie.

Maine Restaurants That Opened in June 2026

Once again, the newest Maine restaurants offer real variety and options at each of their locations, from the food to the vibes.

In South Portland, the family behind Taj Indian Cuisine has introduced a new coffee shop, bakery, and brunch spot in the same spot where Taj was originally located: 200 Gorham Road.

Its website highlights offerings like "Masala chai brewed the Hyderabad way, single origin Indian coffee roasted by Tandem, laminated pastry, and a brunch menu you won't find anywhere else in town."

Meanwhile, if you're looking for a new seafood place, Signal in Kennebunk might be on your list.

Signal's website notes its focus on seafood and the local area with "classic coastal favorites" and "globally inspired preparations that reflect the journeys of the historic vessels that once sailed from this region."
