First of all, the number one job in Maine should be being a dog mom. But that's not on the list of the best companies to work for in Maine on Zippia, nor do I get paid for it, so I guess I'll have to move on.

I do happen to know that there are tons of good companies to work for in Maine, so it had to have been a hard decision to determine the top dog. Here's how they calculated their rankings. The secret formula like a Krabby Patty in SpongeBob, if you will.

Another popular company (in fact, the company that I feel best represents Maine) that's also ranked very highly as an employer is L.L.Bean at #6. I imagine it's like living in the reality TV show Outdoor Man, which would be SO FUN!
