Maine's Acadia National Park came in at #6, and you can check out a glowing review of the famous landmark here.

But it gets even better.

A second town snagged the tippy-top spot as the best mountain vacation destination in the country: Stowe, Vermont.

This charming village in the Green Mountains is famous not only for its namesake resort, but the countless activities visitors can enjoy throughout the year. There's something for everyone in this little town, from 100+ hiking trails to Main Street's cafes and boutiques, the historic Trapp Family Lodge, and of course, the countless skiing opportunities.
