This New England State is the Cheapest in the U.S for Music Lovers
It is EXPENSIVE to see artists perform live no matter where you live.
It seems like concert ticket prices have quadrupled over the last two decades
I remember when i was cleaning out my childhood bedroom before my parents sold our house, I found a ticket from The Warped Tour in 2002. Guess what the price said on the ticket...okay, I'll tell you: $15 dollars! Can you imagine? And that is for an all day festival with multiple bands! I could easily afford concert tickets by working one shift at Pacsun in the mall. Those were the days.
Nowadays you are lucky to get lawn seats a Meadowbrook for any less that $50! (I know, it's now the BankNH Pavllion but it will forever be Meadowbrook in my heart)
In this economy, everything feels like a giant gut punch to the wallet and if you want to see your favorite artist in concert, you need to be willing to cough up at least $200 after all of the processing fees are said and done. Unless of course you get your tickets the old fashioned way by winning them on the radio. Those tickets are free 99!

The #1 top state for cheapest concert ticket prices was a New England state
Rhode Island has the cheapest average prices at just $41.97 a ticket, 97% less than Arizona which has the most expensive. They also offer a plethora of free music events which contributed to their high score. These events include Food Trucks & Concerts at Chase Farm in Lincoln for Memorial Day weekend, or the Providence Flea, which features live music and over 75 different vendors.
There are other reasonably priced options in Rhode Island like the Country Music Festival in Cumberland, with tickets starting from $17.85, and the I Heart Noise Fest in Providence, with tickets starting from $9.85 at the door. I love these prices! It's like 2002 again!
New Hampshire came in at #5 with an average ticket price of $46.57. A free music event option in New Hampshire is ALL THAT JAZZ in Whitefield while a cheap option is Live Music at Averill House Vineyard, costing $6.98.
