17 Nostalgic Memories of Fox Run Mall in New Hampshire That’ll Take You Back

The end of an era is nearly here.

If you haven't heard yet, the Mall at Fox Run in Newington, New Hampshire, formerly the Fox Run Mall, is going to be demolished.

That is expected to take place in 2026, and Seacoastonline reported that it will include redeveloping the area into a "revamped commercial hub that would include a big box store, small businesses and restaurants."

When Did Fox Run Mall in Newington, New Hampshire, Open?

According to Zayre88, a website that highlights retail history in New England, the Fox Run Mall got its start in 1983 and was anchored by Sears, Filene's, JCPenney and Jordan Marsh.

It's hard to believe huge and recognizable names like Filene's and Jordan Marsh no longer exist, period, and Sears, once the largest retailer in the United States, only has a handful of stores left in the country.

All four of those anchor stores mentioned above no longer exist at the mall.

Who else remembers going to Dream Machine or hitting up the food court and Orange Julius? Over the years, a number of locals created memories at this particular mall, and over the years, sadly, things like online shopping, changing consumer habits, and lifestyle shifts have contributed to the demise of a number of malls across the country.

The Fox Run Mall may have once been filled with people and energy, but soon it will be quiet, and then no more.

But despite its end, the nostalgia and memories for the place hold strong.
