This Private New Hampshire Island Could Be Yours For Less Than $350,000
If owning a private island in New Hampshire is on your bucket list...this might be your best opportunity.
I would think that owning your own island on any of New Hampshire's lakes or ponds would be unrealistically expensive...like millions of dollars expensive. But apparently, it may only cost $350,000.
According to the Zillow listing, this private, boat or snowmobile to an island in Milan, NH is 7,800 feet. On the nearly 8,000 square foot island is a 600 square foot cottage with two bathrooms. The off-grid island is powered by solar panels.
The cottage is equipped for self-sufficient island living with solar panels, a back-up generator and a composting toilet.
The view is out of this world...and for only $350K, it seems too good to be true. But this is the real deal.
Built in the 1970s, the cottage seems to be in good shape. Perfect for a weekend away. The best feature has to be the deck overlooking Nay Pond.
Nay Pond, in Milan, is about 30 minutes north of Mount Washington and an hour north of North Conway.
