You Have One Week Left to Experience These Magical Pumpkin Strolls Around New England

We’re officially in the final stretch of spooky season, but there’s still time to squeeze in one more magical pumpkin stroll!

This past week, I took my daughter to the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, Rhode Island, to celebrate her second birthday and it was every bit as magical as I remembered.

I’ve been to the Spectacular before, but there’s something about seeing it through your child’s eyes that makes it feel completely new. I’m always amazed by the incredible artistry on display and how the pumpkins somehow seem to get more creative every single year.

Every time I go, I find myself wondering how they’re going to top the previous year. Then I see the pumpkins and think, how did someone even carve that?! From elaborate characters to incredible scenes, it’s one of those experiences that makes you slow down and appreciate just how much creativity can go into a pumpkin.

NEW HAMPSHIRE:
Gathering of the Jack O’Lanterns in Littleton
Saturday, October 31st
6–9 PM
Hundreds of carved pumpkins will illuminate the Ammonoosuc River, along with food trucks, vendors, a bonfire and haunted walks.

Carriage Shack Farm Halloween Glow Nights in Londonderry
Friday, October 30th
5:30pm-8:30pm
Enjoy the farm's transformation "into a glowing Halloween adventure filled with dazzling lights, immersive displays, family-friendly fun, and unforgettable memories."

MAINE:
Lighting of the Pumpkins Old in York
Friday, October 30th
5 PM
Hundreds of jack-o’-lanterns will light up the Old Burying Ground following an afternoon of Halloween fun.

MASSACHUSETTS:
Hill-O-Ween in Haverhill
Friday, October 30th
5–7 PM
Families can bring their carved pumpkins to Washington Square, with the jack-o’-lanterns lighting up after 6 PM.

Family Halloween Party & Pumpkin Stroll at Boston Public Market
Saturday, October 31st
10 AM–3 PM
A family-friendly daytime event with pumpkin painting, cupcake decorating, face painting and a stroll along the Greenway.

Pumpkin Walk in Medway
Friday, October 30th
7–9 PM
A nighttime walk through glowing carved pumpkins at Choate Park. Pre-registration is required.

Great Jack O’Lantern Journey at Southwick’s Zoo in Mendon
Saturday, October 31st
5–9 PM
Hundreds of artistically carved pumpkins, entertainment and family activities make this another great Halloween option.

With thousands of glowing jack-o’-lanterns, this is one of my personal favorites and after celebrating my daughter’s second birthday there, it now holds an even more special place in my heart.
