Here’s 7 New Hampshire Restaurants That Closed Their Doors in July, August 2026
New Hampshire saw another handful of restaurants close recently.
For July and August 2026, a national chain, an over-20-year-old restaurant, and several spots that opened just a few years ago called it quits.
Time to reflect on some closing chapters in the Granite State.
What New Hampshire Restaurants Closed in July and August 2026?
Oftentimes, reasons for a restaurant closing usually stem from some kind of financial hardship, a retirement, or a lease being up for the property.
For The Dive in Alton, a devastating fire broke out in July that destroyed the floating restaurant. Ultimately, its owners made the tough decision not to rebuild the popular Lake Winnepesaukee spot, effectively ending its run.
In a Facebook post, the Dive's owners mentioned the potential sale of The Dive’s brand, commercial barge, and related assets, so maybe someone might take up the mantle and bring a new version of the place in the future?
Meanwhile, August brought about the end of two Pizza Hut locations in New Hampshire, effectively leaving the state with about 10 spots left for some pan pizza goodness.
And those spots had been around for years and years!
Let's take a look at some of the restaurants that are the latest to close.
