Another NH Restaurant Bites the Dust: Pecorino’s Restaurant Closes in Chichester
There’s nothing better than finding a restaurant that quickly becomes one of your go-to spots. I know I have my local favorites, especially for those nights when cooking dinner is the absolute last thing I want to do! For many in Chichester and the surrounding area, Pecorino’s Italian Restaurant & Bar became that kind of place... A familiar favorite where locals could enjoy a good meal without having to go far from home.

Now, Pecorino's is closing its doors.
In a message shared by the restaurant, the owners announced that continuing to operate had become financially unsustainable. They thanked everyone who walked through their doors, shared meals, supported their staff and gave Pecorino's a chance.
And judging by the reaction from locals, the restaurant clearly made an impact in a short amount of time.
One person shared, “You had great food, friend... Thank you for your work. Take care! Very sad about this... feels for being italian in Pittsfield passing Pecorino's everyday... right there on our strip. This is hard.”

Another local wrote, “So sorry to hear this, the food was outstanding. Wishing you guys the best in whatever the next adventure is.”

While it's always bittersweet to say goodbye to a local favorite, there is a little bit of good news tucked into this announcement.
A new family-owned Greek restaurant is expected to take over the space, with plans to open in October. Even more importantly, the new owners have agreed to offer positions to Pecorino's staff!
That means the people who poured their time and energy into Pecorino's will have an opportunity to continue working in the space.
So, while this may be goodbye to Pecorino's, it's not necessarily goodbye to the people who made it special.
