A Gilmanton man was charged in a double shooting outside a Pittsfield bank late Saturday morning.

New Hampshire State Police said Ryan Scott Ashley, 31, was charged with first degree assault and two counts of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon in the shooting of two men outside a Citizens Bank branch on Main Street just before noon.

Ashley is being held at the Merrimack County jail pending arraignment Monday.

The two men were hospitalized after being found in the parking lot with gunshot wounds. State Police did not disclose the identities of the men, a motive for the shooting, or an update on their conditions.

No one inside the bank was hurt, according to police.
