The event is a fundraiser for the Salisbury Beach Partnership's New Historic Carousel Pavilion.  The Salisbury Beach Carousel is a true treasure, and will soon be protected by its own space for all to enjoy.

The Sea Festival of Trees features over 100 themed and beautifully decorated trees donated by local businesses, civic groups, students, and individuals.  Many have wonderful prizes, gift cards, and valuable gifts as part of the trees.

When you walk into the venue, you are greeted by a huge sandcastle in the lobby, hand carved by professional Greg Grady.  The Blue Ocean Event Center is located on the beach and above the ocean waves, which are in view at every angle of the giant rooms filled with twinkling lights from all the trees.  It's a magical feeling for the 10 days of the festival.

Children can enjoy indoor ice-skating, a candy cane forest, and Santa's workshop, inspired by the movie Elf. There will also be visits with Santa, and appearances by the Snow Queen, Grinch, Blades, Bruins mascot, and one very funny Elf, according to the Sea Festival of Trees' press release.
