MA Residents in Specific Towns Being Told to Wear Masks Inside
So, at this point I think we are all sick of the mask debate. Most of us are trying our best to wear them when we're outside, or running to the grocery store, or even inside our office buildings.
A lot of retail stores like Walmart and Target are now requiring them to even run inside.
But what about wearing a mask inside your own home?
Well, for some Massachusetts towns that's being suggested.
According to Boston.com, Health and Human Services Secretary Marylou Sudders said that residents in specific towns with a high COVID infection rate should consider keeping the masks on at home.
Sudders says you should consider wearing a mask at all times:
“You should also consider wearing a face covering inside your home if an older individual or someone with compromised medical condition is part of your immediate household.”
Boston.com reports that the specific towns mentioned were Revere, Chelsea, Everett, and Lynn, where there have been more than eight daily cases per 100,000 people over the last few weeks.
Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker also issued new orders requiring face masks at any gathering of more than ten people.
According to Boston.com, the uptick in COVID cases is most likely due to large gatherings called "clusters" where people weren't practicing social distancing.
