Massachusetts’ Curry College Names Reality TV Star Look-Alike as Its New President

The resemblance is unreal. To the point that I needed to do a double-take.

I spent the best four years of my life at Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts. Hands down, no doubt about it, and honestly I miss it every single day of my life. That said, since I've graduated, Curry looks like a completely different campus.

And that couldn't be more of a compliment.

Literally, the year after I graduated, the small (but full of charm) building known as the Drapkin Student Center that housed our dining hall, mail room, snack bar, and a couple of other offices was torn down and replaced with a massive new student center that you'd find on a gigantic college campus (part of Curry's charm were the smaller class sizes, allowing professors to give more time and attention to students.)

Shortly after that, in the Quad area of the college (which was made up of the Science building, a larger academic building, the library, and the bath to underclassmen residence halls) got a massive upgrade when the library was expanded to also house a massive theater to address a growing and more popular drama department.

Other upgrades followed, obviously. Fast forward to today, Wednesday, June 21, 2023, Curry College just named a brand new President, Jay Gonzalez -- the 15th in the school's history.

But if you're a fan of the shows that air on the Bravo network, you may see the newly named President Gonzalez and see someone else completely.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Currently, the Bravo Network has five different shows that make up the Below Deck franchise: Below Deck, Below Deck Mediterranean, Below Deck Down Under, Below Deck Adventure, and Below Deck Sailing Yacht -- the last of which has a current season airing every Monday night on the network.

Each show of the franchise has a different Captain that runs the crew that is featured, and it just so happens that Captain Glenn Shephard is not only the Captain on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, but also looks like he was just named the brand new President of Curry College.

Unreal resemblance!

Best of luck to President Gonzales as he mans the helm of my alma mater, and best wishes to the outgoing President who is now celebrating his retirement, Kenneth Quigley.
