What movies do you think of when you contemplate life, love and happiness in the states of Maine and New Hampshire?

Entertainment Weekly put together a list of iconic movies, "The United States of Movies," that best captured the "spirit and story" of each state.

For Maine, EW selected the 1999 drama based on the best-selling John Irving novel, "The Cider House Rules." The movie stars Tobey Maguire, Charlize Theron and Michael Caine.

"Princes of Maine and kings of New England come of age in apple orchards beneath Yankee blue skies."

EW's movie for New Hampshire goes way back to 1940 with Thornton Wilder’s romance, "Our Town." It stars William Holden and Martha Scott.

I've never seen either of these films. I'm also new to the area, but these still seem like odd choices to me. What do you think?
