NESN’s Tom Caron on Chance of NH Native Red Sox Manager

Former Major League outfielder and Durham NH native Sam Fuld is currently a player info coordinator for Philadephia. Today, TC told us that he has a legit shot at being the next Sox skipper, for many different reasons.

'He's a really interesting guy and not just because he's from New Hampshire.

 

He's a guy who really embraced the analytics and learned the game as it was evolving. You talk to him and people who know him and he has a brilliant baseball mind.

 

He has a connection with Chaim Bloom, when he played in Tampa and Bloom was the number two guy in baseball operations.

WOW! I really just threw Sam's name out there as a Strafford County shout out, I have heard him mentioned a couple times locally as a possible option to head this new regime. Now, I wouldn't surprised at all if it happens!
