By now, you have probably heard of the New Hampshire Film Festival. It started in 2001 in Derry and in 2004, it moved up to Portsmouth, so, I'll do the math for you, it's been going on for 25 years.

Where:  Various venues throughout Portsmouth, NH

When:  Thursday, October 15 - Sunday, October 18, 2026

Here's What to Expect from the New Hampshire Film Festival

If you've never been to the Film Festival, it's time you did.  It's such a good time.  To give you a run down of what to expect, the films are scheduled over the course of four days at various venues throughout Portsmouth like the Music Hall, 3S Arts Space, Saint John's Episcopal Church and many other places around the city.

All the venues are within walking distance, but if you're planning to catch them all, you better wear comfortable shoes!

Who did these videos, you might be asking?  The red carpet photographer, Miles Woodworth.  He makes Portsmouth feel like Hollywood, for real.

The schedule of films this year is, as expected, amazing!

I was lucky enough to host the red carpet last year with David from the AC Hotel.  What a night!  The movie makers and stars of their films walked up, had their picture taken and got the VIP treatment at the Music Hall's main stage.  People really turned up the fashion too!  And really, how many times do we get to do that here in New England when you have to wear something comfortable and warm all the time?

If you'd lilke to win a Day Pass for the Film Festival, just put in your information below and we will get in touch with you to let you know you are a winner!
