Newburyport’s Field of Honor Remembers Those Who Died on 9/11 Among Other VIP’s
If you're going by the Bartlet Mall in Newburyport, you'll notice a beautiful field full of American Flags. The Exchange Club of Greater Newburyport is presenting the 9th Annual Greater Newburyport Field of Honor to celebrate and remember those important to us, including members of the military still serving and those that are no longer with us. The display also coincides with anniversary of September 11th, 2001.
The Field of Honor event is FREE and open tot he public every day through this Wednesday.
People may purchase a flag and a pole for $40.00 and proceeds from the event go to the Newburyport Exchange Club's mission and it's not too late to participate. The dedication ceremonies will be this week, so contact the Chamber today!
My Dad served in WWII, so I was happy to find this picture of a flag dedicated to the Attendees of WWII on his birthday, 9/8/19.
Coincidence? I don't think so. No such thing in my book.
