NH Mockingbirds Provide ‘Cheep’ Entertainment

It's the very beginning of mating season for NH mockingbirds and the singing displays have been more prevalent than ever. It's hilarious to listen to them imitate car alarms.

I'm starting with my favorite because this is not only the most accurate but it just highlights how adaptable these avian entertainers can be.

Whattya got? Oh a car alarm? I gotcha right here.

At :37 the car alarm starts and then after another impression, at :47, the bird TURNS THE CAR ALARM OFF!

It doesn't take long in this video to get to the feature presentation an excellent impression of a cat!

Another good thing to look for is when the bird is hopping or flying in a small looping fashion as this showboat does in the above clip, its a great indication that your in for some entertainment!
