From Thursday morning through Sunday afternoon, the Granite State could see a 70 degree swing in 'real feel' temperatures.

From breathing each individual nose hair Thursday morning, to possibly running in shorts by Sunday. This is life during a Polar Coaster. Think the running in shorts at 40 degrees thing is far fetched? Yesterday, it was 37, and I witnessed a man running Dover's Back Road in shorts. He might be in a tank top by Sunday.

New Hampshire hasn't officially scraped winter yet, and the roller coaster of temps are already out of control.

According to WMUR News 9, 'real feel' temps were routinely in the negative teens, with Mt. Washington checking in at -31.

After getting through today's bitter cold, the region will experience a gradual warm-up. Temperatures on Saturday are expected to top the freezing mark for the first time in a few days, and by Sunday, the warm up continues to the 40 degree mark.

Looking even further ahead, Santa might have to deal with melting ice and slush by Christmas Eve, as temps continue to climb through the lower 40's.
