New Hampshire is opening its first mass vaccination site this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, according to WMUR. The plan is for the clinic to run for three days "with the goal of distributing 10,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine," the news station stated.

However, an appointment is needed to attend as there will be no walk-ins for the vaccine, WMUR added.

There are currently six different phases associated with getting the vaccine in New Hampshire. They are as follows, per the NH Division of Public Services estimated timeline:

  • Phase 1A: high-risk health care workers, first responders and residents and staff of long-term care and assisted living facilities
  • Phase 1B: : people age 65+, corrections officers and prison staff, those who are medically vulnerable, first responders and healthcare workers not already vaccinated
  • Phase 2A: K-12 school staff and childcare staff
  • Phase 2B: People 50-64 years old
  • Phase 3A: People under 50 who have moderate risk factors
  • Phase 3B: everyone who has not already been vaccinated

Phase 1A and Phase 1B have already begun and are underway. Phase 2A and 2B are expected to be March to May, and Phase 3A and Phase 3B are expected to be May and beyond.

If you have symptoms of the coronavirus, including a runny nose, sore throat, dry cough, fever and in severe cases, difficulty breathing, call your doctor before going in so that they can prepare for your arrival.
