This is quite an eye-opening re-acquisition for the Patriots. Multiple sources, including ESPN, are reporting that the MONSTROUS Offensive Tackle Trent Brown is returning to New England this season.

What a great retro tweet from ESPN's Mike Reiss to help illustrate just how gigantic the dimensions of 6' 8" and 380 are.

This is the most excited I've been about anything Patriots related since they scooped up Cam Newton last summer for a half million bucks!

Apparently, this business transaction will cost The Pats a lot more than that, as they have reportedly agreed to a one year 11 million dollar deal.

It seems a bit like deja vu as Trent Brown signed a one year deal with New England back in 2018.  And I realize it seems like a lifetime ago, but that season ended with a victory in Super Bowl LIII.

Brown, normally a right tackle, was moved to Brady's blind side at left tackle that season and never missed a start.

In that Super Bowl I can clearly remember him, not only dwarfing The Ram's defensive line but dominating them as well.

While that game will never be considered one of the most exciting Patriots championship games, it was the one were I felt the most confident that they were going to victorious and Brown, pardon the pun, was a HUGE part of that.

By all reports, Trent, who turns age 28 next month, took less money to come back to New England and is ecstatic to be back with Coach Belichick and company.

This year is already looking so much better than 2020!
