You know those memes and TikToks on social media that initially seem like the most random things ever yet end up becoming hilarious trends?

In recent days, the Reading Rainbow Theme Song has taken over TikTok which, combined with images of the sun and a complicated math problem, has unexpectedly generated some hysterical content. Are any of these things related to each other or make any sense together? Nope. But it doesn't make it any less funny.

Similarly, a recent post to The (un)Official City of Portsmouth, NH Facebook group reminds us that with a little imagination, we can all have a laugh together.

Jason Sedley Walls made the post, in which he proposed a little game involving the popular Dean Martin song 'That's Amore'. As most of us know, the original song's first lyrics are "when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore."

Jason felt like putting a local spin on things, so he asked fellow group members to:

"Give us verses to "It's-a Portsmouth" to the tune of "That's Amore." Example:
When you're living downtown
But complain it's too loud
That's-a Portsmouth
Go! Dean Martin believes in you!"

Soon enough, the post received a flood of responses, several of which will have you laughing and thinking to yourself "so relatable." This game definitely is the most random thing ever, but we're honestly here for it. Dean Martin probably would be, too.

Who knows how people come up with these ideas, but we sure aren't complaining about the results. So, let's take a look at some of the best Portsmouth-inspired verses inspired by the classic tune.

Portsmouth, NH Fans Add Hilarious Spin to Dean Martin Song

A post to a local Portsmouth Facebook group encouraged people to come up with their own local renditions of Dean Martin's 'That's Amore', and the comments did not disappoint.
