Portsmouth Woman Wins Miss Hampton Beach 2018
The Miss Hampton Beach pageant was this past weekend and according to a story from seacoast online, Kirstin Pesarisi, 24, of Portsmouth was crowned Miss Hampton Beach by outgoing Miss Hampton Beach, Emily Durant.
The first runner up was Abby Sullivan, but in the end, Kirstin was the winner.
I've always loved to dress up in super fancy dresses, so I'm sure this was a lot of fun for the girls. I have questions, however:
Do they have to buy their own gowns to wear or do they get a sponsor to buy it for them?
If the clothes are rented, do they have to get them dry-cleaned before they return them?
Do their knees ever wobble when they are walking across stage?
Do the girls ever fear that they'll take a face plant in front of everyone?
Has their ever been a time that they didn't want to go on stage?
Who does their make up, because they all look so beautiful?
I also wonder how it feels to be on stage like that? It is empowering to them?
If I had to guess on the last question, I would say YES. I know a lot of feminists have an opinion about these pageants, but if it makes the girls feel good about themselves, then go for it!
