In all my years of eating at cookie cutter fast food chains I still have never been to a Red Lobster. Cracker Barrel yes. Red Lobster no; and it certainly wasn't because they had too many beef options on the menu.

It was probably because the idea of mass produced, and served, lobster grosses me out.

The seafood chain announced yesterday that they plan on revamping their menu; ditching beef options for more lobster. For instance, their 'Ultimate Feast' will feature 50% more shrimp, and the 'Lobster Scampi' will now have as much lobster as pasta. This ruthless business move comes on the heels of getting sold for $2.1 billion to a private equity firm.

I would love to be a fly on the wall at the board meeting when they decided what to do.

"Hmmm, what are we missing? We need to separate ourselves from the competition."

"We need more lobster!"

"Yes, that's it!"

Does anyone even know where the nearest Red Lobster is? I do. It's in Wethersfield, CT. Just a quick 2.5 hour jaunt for some delicious lobster lobster, with a side of lobster.
