He Tweeted his plans after a final radiation treatment.

It was a Tweet that brightened up an otherwise dreary Tuesday afternoon.

Remy has been open his battle with cancer, featuring several rounds of treatment. Sox fans have missed the popular commentator this record shattering season, as his most recent fight has kept him off the air for the latter part of this season. However, that changed Tuesday afternoon when Jerry announced his intentions to be back in the booth tomorrow (Wednesday) night for what is bound to be a very popular inning.

A former second baseman for the Sox, Remy has served as the Red Sox color analyst on NESN since 1988, announcing more than 3,900 Red Sox games during his career.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Jerry," the Red Sox tweeted after his sixth cancer battle was announced. "Keep fighting!"

Earlier today, the Red Sox announced tonight's game has been postponed, and tomorrow's action will be a double header with Baltimore. It is not known when Jerry will join the broadcast team.
