Bon Jovi is performing on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at drive-in's across the country for one special night of 80's Classic Hits.  It's gonna be a fun night!  The Milford Drive-In is one of many showing this great show.  You can get a complete list of where the show will be shown here.

I Was Not a Huge Fan Before I Saw Them Live

I have to admit, before I saw Bon Jovi live, I thought the band was "meh."  I know!  I'm sorry!  It's just that Jon Bon Jovi's voice wasn't my favorite, but I got free tickets to go see them at historic Holman Stadium in Nashua on August 4, 1993, so I went.

Here's Why I Really Went to the Show

Extreme was opening for them and I REALLY LOVED Extreme, (still do...) so I went.

Here's What Won Me Over

After Extreme left the stage, I was a little bit bored.  Bon Jovi didn't take an exceptionally long time to get on stage or anything, but I had already seen the band that I was there to see so, let's go!  Then, they hit the stage.  WOW!  From concertarchives.org, here's their setlist:

  1. I Believe
  2. Wild in the Streets
  3. You Give Love a Bad Name
  4. Born to Be My Baby
  5. Can't Help Falling in Love
  6. Bed of Roses
  7. Keep the Faith
  8. I Want You
  9. Blaze of Glory
  10. Lay Your Hands on Me
  11. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
  12. Blood on Blood
  13. Bad Medicine
  14. Shout
  15. Wanted Dead or Alive
  16. In These Arms
  17. Livin' on a Prayer

They started with "I Believe."  What?  Right.  A song they were pushing at the time, but no one knew it, but we loved it.  The energy that the band brought to that stage was unbelievable.  By the time the band got to #3, "You Give Love...." I was a full-blown Bon Jovi convert.  DAMN!  I mean, Jon had everyone singing along.  It was a fantastic show.

Here's Bon Jovi's song, "I Believe," if you're curious.
