I was driving home last night and it occurred to me that there must have been an epic snow squall at Cumby's. I then noticed a white marble statue of a man in the middle of it and the statue was ALIVE! He was taking pictures with his smartphone of the strange white powder that covered everything in and around the gas pumps.

Once I got home, it took about thirty seconds of research to figure out what I had just seen. It is the fire suppression system that is thankfully very common at gas stations. I found this clip from a few years ago that illustrates how intense the powder spray is once it's triggered.

The woman on the right of the screen gets seriously powdered at :47. The powder is very similar to baking soda and while a bit irritating, it is far better than the alternative.
