The 'All in the Family' star was playing the part of Miss Hannigan in a production playing at the Ogunquit Playhouse .

Actress Sally Struthers has announced she is leaving the cast of "Annie." This isn't due to a bitter contract dispute, but the aftermath of last week's snowstorms. According to Fosters Daily Democrat, Struthers broke her leg when she fell on an ice-covered walkway last week, causing her to pull out of the play. However, she may still appear in the audience as it plays out. Ogunquit Playhouse Executive Director Bradford Kenney told Fosters “But she will be nearby – so don’t be surprised if you see her sneak in to watch the show! While we will miss her very much in this role, we want her to continue to rest and to enjoy time with her family and friends over the holidays." Kenny went on to say Struthers will return next year.

Broadway’s Ruth Gottschall will take the over the role this week, and act through the end of the run of the Ogunquit Playhouse.
