On my way home yesterday, I decided to just check and see if there was a hair stylist at The Wingate Salon and Spa in Stratham that was available to do my hair.  I had been walking around with this frizz thing on top of my head with sparkling grey roots and I couldn't take it anymore.  My regular stylist is pregnant and she isn't doing hair right now, So, I thought I would take the chance and I called.

Much to my surprise and delight, I was able to get an appointment with Jo, who is one of their master stylists, at the very last minute!  This never happens, but I didn't question it, I just headed my car in the direction of The Wingate.

These days, you have to wait until they call you to the front door before you come in to any hair salon, but it was maybe :30 seconds and they called me in.  It's a beautiful property, so I took a couple of pictures of the brilliant trees around the grounds and in I went.

Jo has been at The Wingate for a long time and, as it turns out, does my friend and colleague, Wendy Larson's hair too!  This is great!  We decided to not only do the roots, but also throw a few foils in.  I have to admit, I didn't even know whose hands I was in the care of.  Check out part of Jo's bio:

Jo is a master stylist ....... Her hair expertise has been sought out by magazines and she was published in Modern Salon and Stuff...... She has received specialized training with Bumble & Bumble of New York and the Maxim Salon in SoHo...... Her personal goal is to climb the mountains in Nepal.

WHOA!  Jo, I'm with ya on the "climb the mountains in Nepal" thing.  The whole process took about an hour, 45 minutes and I walked out a different woman.

I found this whole experience unreal.  To be able to get an appointment with Master Stylist Jo at THE WINGATE just by calling and taking a chance just doesn't happen.  What are the odds?!  Apparently, they were in my favor.  Truly a Miracle on Route 33.
