There’s a New Hotel on the New Hampshire-Maine Seacoast Line Ready for Summer
The Inn at Rye Place is a boutique hotel with a few pet-friendly rooms, and it is ready for its inaugural summer season. Woo hoo for these two longtime friends who are now welcoming guests to their passion project.
I love hearing about entrepreneurial ventures coming out of our devastating pandemic, don't you? During the first year of the pandemic is exactly when Howie Lazerowich and Joe Roy decided to take on this project.
Howie and Joe bought the former Rosewood Inn during the pandemic and completely restored it .They knew that families, couples, and friends would be ready to vacation again, but possibly on a bit more of a budget come the summer of 2022. And since business travel would start up again more fully, too, they figured they'd create an affordable, fresh place on the Seacoast.
It's in the perfect location for a Seacoast vacation or business travel, in Rye on basically the New Hampshire-Maine border, 3 miles from the beach, yet it's less expensive than most places. When we bought the dilapidated Rosewood Inn, we knew our refurbishment and renovations had to cater to affordable vacations and getaways.
Howie told me the space is basically a completely new 2-level hotel, after renovating the lobby and guest rooms with new furniture, appliances, and kitchenettes, plus a welcoming landscape, a backyard area with fire pits, and outdoor games.
The keyless entry adds to this tech-friendly hotel with complete upgrades, WiFi, and flat screen televisions.
Plus, unlike the former space, Howie is super excited that they've added a restaurant, bar, concierge service, and free parking.
Being in the historic Seacoast village of Rye means warmth, charm, superior comfort, and some of the best restaurants and shopping right here at Rye Place. I mean one day you can go whale-watching or fishing, on other days you can lounge at the beach or go shopping, and you're not breaking the bank.
Rooms start at $299.
